Question of the Day

What is wrong with the way kids are educated today? Why is school often considered boring by students? How should the educational system be changed to meet the needs of the 21st century economy? Why do you think that eduction needs to change?

What's wrong with the way kids are educated is that the educational system doesn't really care they believe that the students don't really care about learning. School is often boring to some students because some students don't want to learn. The educational system should care more about us students, instead of giving up on us they should believe in us. Education needs to change because some students don't learn at all in school.

Question of the Day

Do you think that technology has increased teenage depression and loneliness or does technology help to relieve depression and loneliness?

I think that technology has helped relieve depression because on the internet you can do anything play games or anything to relieve some stress. Also you can listen to music on your ipod or phone and that really help people relieve stress.

Question of the Day

What would you like to have a robot do for you? Do you think it will be possible some day?

If I had a robot I would be the luckiest kid alve. I would make the robot do everything for me while I lay on my bed. I believe with how technology is improving so much and fast that its a matter of time before it happens.

Question of the Day

Tell us how you feel about the notion of punishing parents if their children are failing in school. Which of the proposals described in the article, if any, seem sensible to you? That is, should parents be graded, as has been proposed in Florida; forced to do school volunteer work, as has been proposed in Indiana; fined if children are truant, as is currently done in Alaska; or forced to attend parenting classes if the child is in a gang, as is currently done in California? What complications might judging parents in any of these ways raise?

Teachers shouldn't get blamed for the failing of students. Many teachers try their best to not fail their students but the students leave them no choice. The teachers even try giving extra credit but some of the students don't even bother to do them. I believe if a student fail their class it's not the parents neither the teachers fault; it's the students fault. Parents shouldn't be blamed for anything because their not the one that's doing the work in school the students are. Many parents tell their children to do their homework everyday but some of them do them and some don't.
If the student put it in their mind set to pass that class then he or she will pass that class. However if they just do whatever they want then it's their fault. Many teachers think that it's the parents fault but it really isn't because the parents do all they can to make their children pass. No parent like it when their children fail a class. Even if they don't say anything about them failing they not happy neither.
As for me if I didn't put it on my mind set to pass all my class I wouldn't be having honor roll right now. I believe that anyone can pass their classes but you have to be dedicated. Many students give up when they don't know how to do something. What they need to do is when they don't know how to do something they should try try again and try to go to tutoring.

Question of the Day

What role do you think games play in learning? How does age influence the role games play in learning?

You can learn a lot of things from playing video games. You can even learn how to fly a plane because games teaches you how to do certain things. The younger you are the better you can learn from games.
